The Full Story
My journey has always been driven by a deep desire to help others navigate life’s challenges with empowerment and connection. In 2003, I founded Kate’s Club, inspired by my own experience of losing my mother as a child. I wanted to create a space where children could find support, hope, and community while working through their grief. What began with a simple bowling outing for six kids has grown into a nationally recognized organization, transforming tens of thousands of lives.

Over time, I discovered that the lessons I learned through grief extend far beyond it. Change, loss, and transformation are universal experiences that shape every facet of life. This realization expanded my purpose—not only as a guide for those navigating grief but as a leader for anyone seeking clarity and empowerment during pivotal moments. While grief and healing remain central to my work, my focus now embraces the broader themes of change and transformation. Whether leading community initiatives, building impactful brands, or helping individuals uncover their purpose, I approach every endeavor with compassion, creativity, and a commitment to inspire meaningful growth.

The impact of my work is reflected in the lives I’ve touched, the communities I’ve nurtured, and the organizations I’ve led. Kate’s Club has become a vital resource for thousands of children and families, equipping them with the tools and connections they need to thrive in the face of loss. In 2023, the organization was honored with the U.S. Surgeon General’s Medallion, the nation’s highest recognition for contributions to health.

Beyond Kate’s Club, I’ve held leadership roles that allowed me to champion causes close to my heart. As the Founder of LoCo+, I built a platform to empower local filmmakers and content creators by providing them with a space to showcase their work and connect with their communities. As the Executive Director of ChooseATL, I helped position Atlanta as a hub for young talent and innovation. At the Arby’s Foundation, I led a brand transformation and launched initiatives to combat childhood hunger across the U.S. These experiences have provided me with a unique perspective on driving change at both personal and collective levels.

Today, my mission is to guide others through the complexities of change and uncertainty, equipping them with the tools and strategies to emerge stronger, more authentic, and deeply connected to their purpose. Whether empowering individuals, fostering community healing, or shaping impactful societal initiatives, I believe transformation is not only possible—it’s essential.
